Internship Work

Since graduating, I took an internship with a local radio station. After a few months of training and observing, I was able to do some video work. Here are some examples of the work I did that has since been posted on their websites.

A Motion Graphics Project-“Hear no Evil”

This is a final project for my Motion Graphics Advanced Class. The objective was to create a opening title sequence for a fictional movie. The names have all been made up as well as the story in the beginning. The footage was all filmed by me throughout my town. I worked mainly in After Effects for this and put the final clip together in Final Cut.

This project was a lot of fun for me. I really get into scary things so it was cool to put a spooky twist on this footage and get creative with a made-up story. At the beginning of the semester, I would have never guessed I’d be able to create something like this. I taught myself the effects I didn’t know yet and used what I had learned throughout the semester to achieve this look, and I am very proud of it and the work I put into it.

Learning From Tutorials

I’ve found that the best way for me to learn editing programs is from watching YouTube tutorials and following along to learn all that these programs can do. This is one I found that works with using masks to reveal text. It was actually pretty simple to do and I really like how it turned out. I did this all in After Effects.

Motion Graphics Final Project

This was my final project for Motion Graphics. We had to create title pages or openers for each category of our portfolio. My categories were Video, Audio, Internet Broadcasting and Motion Graphics. I had 4 separate Motion projects and combined the clips in Final Cut Pro.

Creativity Time

The end of the semester is near, and I needed a break from final projects. So, I decided to play around in Motion now that I feel much more comfortable in the program. I used an original photograph for this and added a quote to create a short but cool intro for something.
